Alex is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sharewise, an Australian stockbroking and investment management firm managing in excess of AUD 1.5 billion in assets under advice. He has over a decade of experience in wealth management, capital markets advisory, and institutional equity research, having built Sharewise — formerly operating as Port Jackson Securities and Fortem Wealth — into a full-service platform covering ASX, US, Hong Kong, and global markets.
Prior to Sharewise, Alex co-founded a food manufacturing business that expanded to 35 locations nationally, giving him a practitioner's understanding of business scaling and the capital needs of growth-stage companies. He is also a Director of Alpha Point Capital, an international hedge fund, through which he maintains active exposure to global macro and alternative strategies.
As Head of Australian Capital Markets at Brenton Financial, Alex anchors the firm's domestic equity raising and distribution capability, providing access to an established network of wholesale, retail, and SMSF investors.
He contributes a capital markets and investor appetite perspective to the Investment Committee, with particular relevance to transaction pricing, secondary market comparables, and the timing of equity-linked mandates.
